The Allan Louis Loeb Foundation for the Benefit of Wildlife and Domestic Animals is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to benefit wildlife and domestic animals, and operated exclusively for charitable, educational, and literary purposes, more particularly for the purpose of promoting the wellbeing and the kind and humane treatment of domestic animals and wildlife, and of disseminating knowledge to that end.
GUIDELINES FOR GRANTS
The Board of Directors of the Allan Louis Loeb Foundation, which functions also as its distribution committee, will make contributions to projects in accord with these purposes that meet the following guidelines:
A non-profit corporation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code may receive support for expanding existing services or developing new programs that meet these guidelines. However, the Foundation will not pay past debts of such organizations.
Priority funding will be given to legacy organizations (those historically linked to the Loeb family), and to local charitable organizations in the Connecticut shorelines.
To make the best use of its resources, the Foundation does not make grants to: a. Intermediary funds agencies; b. Research, unless associated directly with an action project; c. General fundraising drives or events. d. As the sole support for any one organization.
The Foundation requires from the grantees a follow-up report no later than June 30th to include specifically, financial disclosure of how Loeb Foundation monies were spent. To note: If this is not received, further funding will be declined for the next calendar year.
As the Foundation attempts to increase the number of organizations funded, requests for under $5000 may increase the chances of funding.
The Board of Directors reserves the right to waive or amend any or all of the provisions set forth above to best serve the purposes of the Foundation.
Please submit your application request for funding by September 1st, 2021.
